Samsung 5kW Air Source Heat Pump, Telford 170 Litre Hot Water Cylinder, 9 x Radiators with thermostatic valves.
Mr. McQuade
A recent project by Bambu Heating has brough a breath of fresh, sustainable air to a detached residential property within the city of Hull. The installation of a Samsung 5kW Air Source Heat Pump, coupled with other energy-efficient upgrades, promises not just warmth for the homeowners but a step towards a greener and more sustainable future. The focal point of this installation was the strategic placement of the air source heat pump unit on the gable end of the property. This cutting-edge technology extracts heat from the outside air, even in cold temperatures, and efficienctly uses it to warm the home. The move towards air source heating not only ensures a more sustainable and eco-friendly heating solution but also significantly reduces the carbon footprint of the property. In addition to the air source heat pump, the Bambu Heating team removed the existing boiler and installed a Telford 170 litre hot water cylinder. This modern cylinder ensures a steady and efficient supply of hot water and heating throughout the property, catering to the diverse needs of the homeowners. The seamless integration of these systems is a testament to Bambu Heatings expertise in providing comprehensive heating solutions. Understanding the importance of an optimised heating system, the installation included 9 new radiators, each equipped with a thermostatic valve. This meticulous attention to detail was based on a heat loss report conducted beforehand. Such precision ensures that the heating system operates at its peak efficiency, minimising energy wastage and providing customised comfort to different areas of the house. One of the standout features of this project is the collobration with Bambu Heating's sister company, Solar-Techs. Working in harmony, the teams installed a Solar PV and battery storage system prior to the air source heat pump installation. This dynamic combination allows the homeowners to harness the power of the sun, offestting the cost of running the air source heat pump and promoting greater energy independence. The timing of the project aligns with the commitment to sustainability demonstrated by the homeowners and is further supported by the financial aspect. The project was also partly funding with a £7500 government grant via the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, an initiaitve aimed at encouraging the adoption of energy-efficient heating systems. From start to finish, the installation of the Air Source Heat Pump took a mere two days, minimising disruption for the homeowners and underlining the efficiency of Bambu Heating's experienced team. The swift completion also showcases the seamless integration of the ASHP, cylinder and radiators.
